Serving Tray

    Gallery

Serving trays are about 18mm thick. They are great as placemats, display pieces and to serve up your favourite platters. Not recommended to be used as cutting or chopping boards as they are thin. Check out our end grain cutting boards in the link below instead!

Care Instructions:

Any time the wood begins to look dry, take butcher block butter or oil and rub it into the wood; top, bottom, and sides. Let it sit for 30 minutes then wipe clean with a clean cloth. In a dry climate, you may have to do this once a week. In a humid climate, maybe once a month. Before placing oily meat on the board, it is recommended you rub some butcher block butter on the board to seal all the pores in the wood first.

Hand wash only with cool water, you can use mild soap but it may remove the oil finish. Rinse thoroughly. Add butcher block butter when it dries. Soap removes oil, and these boards are sealed with oil and beeswax. Add butcher block butter when it dries. Do not soak in water.

Our serving trays are thin boards, about 18mm thick, that are excellent for placemats, serving trays and displaying food on, whatever really.  As they are on the thin side, they do not work well as cutting boards. With strong pressure, you could break the board. Check out our end grain cutting boards  instead!
