About Us

Dusty Monkey Studio is a hobby that was established in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Two monkeys needed something to do during quarantine, so they decided to get dusty instead of fat on the couch. Our first shop was in our car park, special thanks to the neighbors who put up with the noise and dust. Dusty Monkey expanded to now have a small shop and now produces end grain cutting boards, charcuterie boards, serving trays, outdoor plant stands, and custom projects that come up.

We occasionally do custom products for people, you are welcome to reach out and see what we are up to. Products have been tables, stairs, boxes, and Christmas trees.

Purchasing instructions:

Current purchasing is done via our shopee store, Shop Unplug in Bangasar Village 2, or at a mutually convient time in our shop near Ampang Point. Its best to contact us with one of the links above to see what products are where.

Care Instructions - Charcuterie Boards:

Any time the wood begins to look dry, take butcher block butter or oil and rub it into the wood, top, bottom, and sides. Let it sit for 30 minutes then wipe clean with a clean cloth. In a dry climate, you may have to do this once a week. In a humid climate, maybe once a month. If you put oily meat on the board, it is recommended you rub some butcher block butter on the board to seal all the pores in the wood.

Hand wash only with cool water and a mild soap. Rinse thoroughly. Soap removes oil, and these boards are sealed with oil and beeswax. Add butcher block butter when it dries.

DO NOT CUT WITH A SHARP KNIFE ON EPOXY! Not only will the knife cut into the epoxy producing fine epoxy particulates, but it will scratch the epoxy and dull your knife. Epoxy is very strong and can damage knives.

Do not leave your epoxy board in direct sunlight, it will yellow over time and could warp. If it warps, lay it against the warp on a flat surface in the sun for a few hours. The heat will soften the epoxy and it will flatten out.
